The Pop Star Portrays a Hell Version of Herself in Satirical Film Teaser

The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a significant cinematic onslaught in 2026, beginning with the satirical film titled The Moment.

Within the project, the artist portrays what she calls as a twisted version of her public image.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the entertainment world that I’ve ever witnessed, Charli commented.

She clarified in a discussion: It’s not a tour documentary, but the idea stemmed from the demand to make one.

A Sneak Peek into The Film

The debut trailer, launched on Thursday, blends real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.

The Moment is helmed and co-scripted by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the narrative revolves around a scenario where the singer made entirely different choices in the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.

A Busy Film Calendar

The film is just one of many forthcoming film appearances for the musician, who has appeared in three independent movies in the current year.

The following year will also see the star together with Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.

She also joined to star in the star’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

I am really enjoying my foray into acting, she expressed. I feel very, very inspired at the moment in acting, and I only ever aim to pursue projects that excite me.

Score Contributions

February will also bring the release of the filmmaker’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from Charli.

Additionally, she will compose the score for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released next year.

The film will be released on 30 January.
