Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A chopper flying near a crowded California coastline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, finally dropping height and smashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings shared on social media capture the aircraft starting to spin over the beach then plunging near the edge of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders said five persons were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
