British Airways will offer complimentary high-speed in-flight internet via space-based partnership
Flyers aboard British Airways are set to enjoy high-speed connectivity in the air without charge following a major agreement involving the billionaire's space company.
Free plus Quick Connectivity Available to Everyone
The airline announced that the complimentary, “quick and reliable” internet service via SpaceX is set to be offered to travelers flying economy, premium economy, or first class starting the coming month.
Widespread Implementation Across Multiple Carriers
The parent firm of British Airways, IAG, stated it had reached an deal involving the satellite firm to offer wifi coverage across over 500 jets within their carriers, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.
Seamless Internet from Boarding through Landing
BA stated that the implementation of this technology formed part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” program and will deliver smooth wifi service for passengers from the gate to arrival, including when traveling across seas or isolated areas.
Customers can link several electronics and they will not have to use a special access code.

Current Wifi Options
Limited wifi access remains offered to BA travelers across most of the airline's planes via its .air system.
Enrollees in BA’s loyalty club may transmit communications and text-based emails onboard without paying, while flyers who want to watch music, movies, and movies throughout their travel if not flying in business or first can expect to pay from £4.99 and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per internet plan.

Latest Improvements for the Airline
BA's executive team has been striving to improve the airline back after a period of budget reductions, system failures, labor disputes, and mass redundancies.
British Airways explained that application with artificial intelligence had helped the airline to achieve their on-time performance at record highs from 2012.
Profit Results
In August, British Airways disclosed a jump for financial performance during H1 of the year, assisting the parent company results to grow.
The group is set to report their earnings for Q3 this summer on Friday.
Other Starlink Deals
The airline's news arrives days after wireless operator the telecom firm announced it was working with Starlink to boost mobile network connectivity in the countryside across the United Kingdom, enabling consumers to easily hook up handsets via orbiting devices when no regular cellular service can be found.
